Away home america

Away Home America (AWHA) is a national initiative to build the movement to prevent and end homelessness among young people. AWHA operates from the belief that youth homelessness exists today largely due to America’s long history of structural racism and systemic inequities.

I worked with the leadership team to create numerous supporting documents including a timeline, a system of icons to represent each of the five pillars to combat youth homelessness and a matching series of pdf documents outlining the respective strategy for each pillar. The overarching strategy that encapsulates the approach and method of the movement is the integration of “youth collaboration”, “racial and LGTBTQ equity” and “continuous improvement”.
